    Itinerary planning is straightforward for Golden Circle, but weather, limited infrastructure, and high costs add complexity. Exploring the entire island requires proper planning.

    Low crime. Main concerns are weather conditions and driving hazards.

    Icelandic is the official language, but almost everyone speaks excellent English.

  • Power Outlet: Type F, 230V / 50Hz

  • Roads & Driving: Good but weather-dependent.
    Ring Road is well-maintained, frequent gravel roads otherwise, in particular in the East. 4WD recommended, mandatory in F roads. Watch for strong winds and gravel.

  • Dining Hours:
    Lunch: 12:00–14:00, Dinner: 18:00–21:00. Many places close early outside Reykjavik.
